About the company:

Reporting into the CFO, our client requires an experienced Senior Finance Professional to manage the day-to-day of their finance function, playing a hands-on role within the business.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the finance function, providing leadership and development for a small finance team.
• Prepare and deliver weekly KPI dashboards and monthly management reports for the Board.
• Lead all aspects of financial planning and analysis.
• Conduct monthly cost reviews with managers to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Manage quarterly forecasting and support the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, statutory filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and improve organisational processes, internal controls, and cost management systems.
• Produce weekly production scorecards and analyse cost centres against budgetary targets.
• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to support financial awareness and understanding.
• Liaise with external parties, including banks, auditors, and government bodies, as required.
• Oversee grant funding activities, including the preparation of business cases and ensuring compliance with audit and reporting requirements.

Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA, and CIMA preferred.
• Experience in financial management and budget/forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
