About the company: 

This is an exciting time to join the business as they continue to strengthen their finance function. The role is a newly created position as the business continues to grow, offering a fantastic opportunity to step into a well-established finance team with great exposure working closely with the Financial Controller.

About the job:

  • Take full ownership of the monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly
  • Support the Financial Controller with monthly reconciliations between financial and management accounts, working closely with the Management Accounting team
  • Assist in the preparation and collation of financial information for grants and external reporting
  • Maintain and review fixed asset registers, including depreciation and capex movements
  • Prepare monthly capex reporting and raise intercompany recharge invoices for completed projects
  • Review and clear intercompany balances, ensuring all positions net to zero each period
  • Post and review monthly journals, ensuring accuracy at source
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and supporting notes, and act as a key contact during the external audit
  • Partner with the Divisional Controller to identify and deliver process and control improvement initiatives
  • Support the development and documentation of SOPs to strengthen the finance knowledge base

Requirements:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CTA
  • Ideal role for a Newly Qualified/Recently Qualified
  • Experience of using ERP Systems to their full potential and functionality
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are essential
