Payroll Officer – £26,000 – £30,000 – County Armagh

A large company with a local influence, this business has seen continued success throughout covid. There is a well-established finance department and structure in place to support the new candidate in their new position.

About the job

  • Reviewing and processing monthly and weekly time sheets
  • Preparing BACs reports
  • Reconciling PAYE & NI (UK) and PAYE & PRSI (ROI), making payments to HMRC and Revenue
  • Processing month end reconciliations and year end procedure
  • Liaising with external agencies such as HMRC, Revenue, pension providers etc.,
  • Complete all weekly and monthly payroll reporting requirements
  • Resolving HMRC and Revenue queries around RTI submission and pay for all employees
  • Keeping up-to-date with proposed legislation and regulations
  • Continually reviewing processes and working practices to ensure the company maintains an up to date, effective payroll service whilst protecting payroll integrity and security

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • At least 5 years previous experience of running ROI and/or UK on weekly and monthly payrolls
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to influence, communicate, challenge and motivate at all levels and maintaining effective relationships across the business
