Key Responsibilities

Financial Reconciliation and Controls

  • Generate and reconcile customer accounts receivable reports from the ERP system.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are properly posted.
  • Manage reconciliations between payment sources and the general ledger.
  • Identify discrepancies and delegate to relevant business owners for resolution.
  • Preparation of AR balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Liaison with internal and external auditors.

Financial Planning and Analysis.

  • Supporting Budgeting & Forecasting, with particular focus on working capital and cash flow.
  • Analysis of aged customer balances to inform calculation and posting of debt provision monthly.
  • Managing & reporting of finance KPIs.

Finance Operations

  • Support the Finance Accounting team during Month-end and Year-end reporting
  • Lead weekly review of debtor book discrepancies, including Billing, Finance and IT.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
  • Review customer refunds issued on a weekly basis, ensuring a robust audit trail.
  • Supporting Accounts Payable function as required.

The ideal candidate is a newly or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with over a year of experience in a similar role. They possess strong proficiency in Excel and are well-versed in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable

• Sage 50 Accounts experience
•New/Part-Qualified with ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
