The Role
A leading Corporate Finance boutique in Dublin is seeking to appoint an Associate Director to join its growing advisory team.
This is a senior appointment within the firm and would suit someone with strong experience across
M&A, financial due diligence, transaction advisory, valuations, deal execution and client management.
The successful candidate will work closely with Partners and Directors on a wide range of corporate finance assignments, advising clients through acquisitions, disposals, fundraising, refinancing, strategic reviews and transaction-related projects.
This role would be ideal for someone currently working in Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Deal Advisory, M&A or Financial Due Diligence who is looking for a more entrepreneurial, client-facing and commercially focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
As Associate Director, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a range of corporate finance engagements, including:
- Leading buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions from initial discussions through to completion.
- Managing financial due diligence assignments for corporate, private equity and lender clients.
- Preparing and reviewing financial models, information memorandums, valuation reports and transaction documentation.
- Analysing financial performance, working capital, EBITDA, cash flow, debt, forecasts and key commercial drivers.
- Supporting clients with acquisitions, disposals, fundraising, refinancing and strategic growth projects.
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact throughout the transaction process.
- Working with business owners, investors, legal advisers, banks and other professional advisers.
- Identifying key deal issues, risks and value drivers and presenting findings clearly to clients.
- Supporting business development activity, including proposals, pitches, networking and relationship building.
- Managing, coaching and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the Corporate Finance team in Dublin.
The Person
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Corporate Finance professional with a strong understanding of the transaction lifecycle and the ability to manage multiple projects in a client-facing environment.
You should have experience in some or all of the following areas:
- M&A advisory
- Financial due diligence
- Transaction services
- Deal advisory
- Valuations
- Corporate finance
- Fundraising or refinancing
- Business sales and acquisitions
- Private equity or mid-market transactions
You will likely be operating at Manager, Senior Manager or Associate Director level and looking for a role that offers more autonomy, responsibility and progression.
Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA, CFA or similar professional qualification.
- Strong experience within Corporate Finance, M&A, Transaction Services, Deal Advisory or Financial Due Diligence.
- Excellent financial analysis, modelling and report-writing skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business performance drivers.
- Experience managing client relationships and transaction processes.
- Ability to lead projects, manage deadlines and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
- A proactive, ambitious and entrepreneurial mindset.
