ABOUT THE ROLE

Working as part of a wider team, the successful candidate will receive full training in the role of a trainee bookkeeper/ junior finance accountant to develop an understanding of the bookkeeping processes and will collaborate closely with the rest of the team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Perform bookkeeping tasks for various transactions, including sales invoices, purchase invoices, and VAT entries.
  • Demonstrate confident and professional communication skills when engaging with team members and external suppliers.
  • Meeting monthly deadlines for timely client reporting.
  • Bank account reconciliations and addressing any outstanding discrepancies.
  • Review client ledgers.
  • Preparation of VAT returns, supporting documentation and compliance.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated proficiency in practical bookkeeping skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in various systems and IT tools, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Capability to work independently and as a contributing member of a team.
  • Enthusiastic and adaptable approach to diverse tasks, with a track record of meeting deadlines and surpassing client expectations.

Long-term contract with a minimum of 10 months with view to be made permanent afterwards.
