About the Company
A leader in their specialised field, a modern and rapidly expanding renewable energy company are seeking to add a junior Accounts Assistant/Trainee Accountant to the team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accounting Technician or trainee accountant to fast track their career with the successful candidate gaining excellent accounting exposure and career progression.
About the Job
Working directly as an understudy to the financial controller the successful candidate will be trained in all aspects from the ground up. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting with the Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Daily Processing of Purchase Ledger (NI & ROI companies)
- Supplier payments
- Month end journals
- Credit control/supplier queries
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Monthly reports
- Ad hoc duties as required
Previous experience
- 2 years’ experience in an office environment carrying out similar duties
- Studying towards or recently gained IATI qualification
- Excellent Microsoft excel and IT skills
- Flexible approach and open to new ideas
- Ability to manage own workload
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting software’s preferable but not essential
