About the Company

A local business with a widely recognised household name is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant/ Accounts Technician to join their team. The company operating throughout the province have recently experienced rapid growth and is looking to add to its Accounts Team due to this expansion.

About the Job

Reporting directly to the Company Accountant you will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties…

  • Process invoices and payments into a high-volume purchase ledger.
  • To match invoices and delivery notes as well as investigate any anomalies.
  • Prepare and administer payments and print cheques as required
  • Process day-to-day expenses
  • Reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis
  • Ensure that invoices and relevant files are up to date and in order, maintaining an accurate filing system.
  • Set up new suppliers when required by the purchasing department.
  • When required, prepare ad hoc financial reports for the Management team.
  • Validate and update supplier changes when necessary.

Your skills & experience

  • 2 years experience working in an office environment completing similar duties as above
  • Studying towards or previously gained IATI or equivalent
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with others and work effectively across functions.
  • SAGE knowledge
