About the Job

Working as part of a small team, the Trainee Accountant / Junior Accountant will gain broad exposure across a range of accounting services while receiving full support towards their professional qualification.This role would suit a graduate, trainee or part-qualified candidate who is looking to develop their technical accounting knowledge and gain hands-on experience within practice.

Key Responsibilities Accounts Preparation

  • Assist with the preparation of accounts for a range of clients
  • Prepare and maintain accounting records and working papers
  • Support senior team members with client assignments
  • Ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines

Audit

  • Assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Support the preparation of audit documentation and working papers
  • Liaise with clients to obtain relevant information

Tax

  • Assist with tax compliance work
  • Support the preparation of relevant tax documentation
  • Develop knowledge across different areas of taxation

Forensic Accounting

  • Assist with research, analysis and preparation of information for forensic assignments
  • Support senior team members with investigative accounting work

Client & Team Support

  • Communicate with clients and assist with resolving queries
  • Work closely with colleagues across a range of assignments
  • Develop strong technical and commercial understanding through practical experience

Previous Experience

  • Degree, diploma or master’s in Accounting, Finance or a related subject
  • Trainee or part-qualified candidates will also be considered
  • Previous accountancy practice experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine interest in pursuing a career within accountancy practice
  • Willingness to study towards a professional accounting qualification
