Tax Manager – Cork (Top Practice | Hybrid | Leadership Role)

This is a strategic hire for a well-established and respected practice that has built strong, long-term relationships with clients across a broad range of industries, including tech, construction, hospitality, and professional services. The firm offers a relaxed but professional environment, and this role would suit someone who enjoys leading client relationships while developing junior talent.
About the Role:
You’ll manage a varied portfolio of clients, overseeing both compliance and advisory projects. This role offers a strong balance between hands-on client work and internal leadership, with real scope to shape the direction of the tax department alongside the Partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage client relationships across personal, corporate, and capital tax matters
- Review and sign off on tax returns prepared by the team
- Deliver high-quality advisory on structuring, succession planning, and tax-efficient investments
- Liaise directly with Revenue on behalf of clients
- Mentor, coach, and support junior team members
- Contribute to internal strategy and process improvement
What You’ll Need:
- CTA-qualified (ACA/ACCA also advantageous)
- 5+ years’ experience in a practice tax environment
- Strong working knowledge of Irish tax legislation
- Excellent client management and interpersonal skills
- A commercial, solutions-driven approach to advisory work
- Desire to step into a leadership and people management role
