PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT ROLE – $100,000 – $120,000 (ON-SITE)
About the Company:
Our client specialises in delivering property management solutions aimed at enhancing the value of the assets under their care.
Responsibilities:
– Internal Financial Management: Oversee the internal financial management of the organization, including month and year-end accounts, cash and accrual basis reporting and maintaining procedures and controls related to financial accounts.
– Property Financial Oversight: Oversee financial aspects related to a portfolio of residential and commercial properties. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for these properties.
– Financial Analysis: Analyse financial transactions, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement. Provide regular reports and insights to the leadership team.
– Maintain Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulations and reporting requirements set by government agencies. Stay informed about changes in financial regulations that may impact the organization.
– Financial Systems Management: Utilize Yardi software and databases to maintain accurate financial records and track transactions.
– Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with property operations. Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets.
– Communication and Collaboration: Communicate financial information effectively with Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, property managers, owners, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed.
Skills:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Alternatively, 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
– Fluency in YARDI and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
– Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). CPA certification is preferred.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
– Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
