About the company 

Reporting to the Financial Controller and Finance Director, this is a well-rounded role offering a market-leading salary and a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to join an established finance team or for an ambitious accountant to step up into a senior position with a forward-thinking company.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation of monthly and annual accounts, accruals and prepayments, journal entries, and month-end reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable, ensuring prompt issue resolution and supplier payments.
• Lead period-end processes and prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and statutory filings.
• Maintain accurate records for costs, expenses, and ledgers.
• Provide financial reports to support decision-making and forecasting.
• Ensure accurate billing, cost recording, and timely cash collection.
• Assist with audits, budgeting, and preparation of financial statements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant – (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA) – 5 years Post qualified experience preferable
• Experience managing finance staff
• Must be IT proficient and competent in use of Excel Spreadsheets, ERPs
• Able to demonstrate knowledge & understanding of financial systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical, organisation and planning skills with ability to prioritise effectively
