A leading local business based in Newry are recruiting for a Senior Finance Assistant to join their busy accounts team, A leader in their specialised field, they manufacture and distribute their products to business’s throughout the UK and Ireland and further afield on a global scale. Due to recent growth my client is looking to recruit a Senior Finance Assistant to join their busy finance team.

About the Job

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Senior Finance Assistant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties

Key responsibilities

  • Creating invoices in a timely manner.
  • Checking details on reports to ensure jobs are billed correctly.
  • Sending invoices to Customers in line with individual requirements.
  • Dealing with Customer account queries and resolving same.
  • Sending Customer statements and querying any overdue payments.
  • Aged debt management and reporting
  • Quarterly Rolling Cash Forecast
  • Analysing and reporting on payment related KPI’s to be shared monthly with Senior Management
  • Management of resolving Returned Payments
  • Management of exceptions in weekly payment runs, and working with MDM to resolve same
  • Reconciliation of Advance Supplier Payments
  • Processing of Direct Debit Payments

Previous experience

  • Previous experience working in a Accounts Environment working in an AP/AR function
  • Microsoft Office packages primarily Excel
