About the Job
Manage the credit oversight function and relationship across the organisation, internally and externally, proactively seeking to enhance the credit process, identifying, and implementing improvements in the customer experience. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm with flexibility on start/finish times.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the credit oversight function and oversee a strong and sustainable growth of credit portfolios.
- Working closely with first-line senior management and providing oversight and feedback on new products and proposals.
- Developing and executing the 2nd line credit risk oversight plan, including thematic reviews, deep dives and sample-based reviews.
- Credit Change Initiatives which direct overall Credit Strategy and oversight of the DLA system.
- Ownership and management of Debt management framework and ensuring robust oversight and providing assurance to various EXCO members.
- Oversight of policies and processes for underwriting, collections and account management.
- Responsible for the operational management of 2nd line underwriting activity.
- Managing and developing Credit Policy for Credit products (specifically Mortgages).
Previous experience
- strong understanding of risk evaluation and governance within the Financial Services sector gained through practical experience within finance/banking.
- Previous lending experience within the business banking or personal banking environments.
- Experience of managing and developing Credit Policy for Credit products (specifically Mortgages).
- Sound knowledge of credit policy and procedures in a financial institution.
