“HireIQ is currently working with our Client based in Ballymena who is looking for a Senior Credit Controller to join a growing accounts team in an innovative and ambitious manufacturing business. This company with an instantly recognisable brand have experienced large growth and therefore has a vacancy to join their local finance team based in Ballymena.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties…

• Management of credit controllers ensuring credit terms are efficiently and effectively monitored and enforced.
• Process Customer queries in an efficient and timely manner
• Raise credits and keep a record.
• Ensure that the customer invoice process runs smoothly.
• Run debtor spreadsheet ensuring all debts are analysed, chased, and escalated to management as required.
• Monitor credit risk/ratings and complete credit reference checks for new clients.
• Design and implement action plans to reduce risks identified.
• Provide a weekly analysis of debt to the senior team.
• Send out customer statements.
• Create new customer accounts on Sage.
• Review limits on customer accounts.

Your skills & experience

• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Credit Control dealing with a high volume of customers
• Have the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
• Have strong IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Formal credit control training or qualifications would be an advantage
