Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily credit and risk analysis for all new and existing OEM and Distributor customers to minimize risk exposure.
  • Maintain the OEM database by conducting ongoing credit reviews and weekly monitoring, ensuring alignment with accounts receivable exposure.
  • Keep customer credit files updated with appropriate backup documentation and authorizations.
  • Manage order release decisions for OEM and Distributor customers based on their credit limits and account status.
  • Engage in high-priority and proactive collection activities for top-tier corporate global accounts.
  • Complete month-end closing tasks according to the UK timetable, including batch closures, revaluation, and accounts receivable reconciliations to the trial balance and control accounts.
  • On a rotating basis, complete the month-end reporting and analysis schedule, including detailed reports on AR revenue, AR trend analysis, distributor analysis, cash receipts analysis, and team KPI analysis.
  • Collaborate with and provide auditors with all requested information for European Credit and Collections-related requests during interim and annual audits.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a Credit and Collections environment.
  • Experience in a multi-national environment is advantageous.
  • A background in Credit Analysis or a relevant Finance qualification is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in IT, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of BAAN or a similar accounting reporting package is a plus, but training will be provided.

Special Requirements:

  • A confident understanding and effective interpretation of financial statements is essential for establishing new and revising existing OEM and Distributor customer credit limits.

Competencies:

  • Ability to work independently and proactively to complete daily tasks.
  • Awareness of the appropriate sense of urgency and the ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Methodical approach to prioritize and organize work within deadlines, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Confidence in making credit limit decisions, with authority up to $125k and recommendations up to $1m+.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong listening abilities.
  • Positive response to change and a proactive approach to process improvement within the role and department.
  • Strong team player who interacts effectively with colleagues and contributes to the department.
  • Mindful of the development and management of internal and external relationships.

Travel Requirements:

Travel may be required occasionally, estimated at 0% – 25%.
