About the Job

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant to join the Group Finance team based at their Dublin head office. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant looking to gain exposure to group-level finance operations, project forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting key processes including budgeting, financial close, audit, and business partnering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and KPI commentary
  • Support financial forecasting, quarterly and annual budget processes
  • Partner with commercial teams to manage project financials and performance tracking
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting
  • Lead and improve balance sheet reconciliations and working capital management
  • Respond to audit queries and support compliance with financial regulations
  • Deliver cash flow forecasting and review bank and creditor reconciliations
  • Review VAT and PAYE/PRSI returns, and maintain the Fixed Asset Register
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
  • Identify process improvement opportunities for efficiency and reporting quality

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • 1–3 years post-qualification experience (preferably in industry)
  • Strong analytical, data analysis, and numerical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial software
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and good proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated, assertive, and able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to drive change and identify improvement opportunities
