About the Job
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant to join the Group Finance team based at their Dublin head office. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant looking to gain exposure to group-level finance operations, project forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting key processes including budgeting, financial close, audit, and business partnering.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and KPI commentary
- Support financial forecasting, quarterly and annual budget processes
- Partner with commercial teams to manage project financials and performance tracking
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting
- Lead and improve balance sheet reconciliations and working capital management
- Respond to audit queries and support compliance with financial regulations
- Deliver cash flow forecasting and review bank and creditor reconciliations
- Review VAT and PAYE/PRSI returns, and maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Oversee intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
- Identify process improvement opportunities for efficiency and reporting quality
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- 1–3 years post-qualification experience (preferably in industry)
- Strong analytical, data analysis, and numerical skills
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and good proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Self-motivated, assertive, and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities
- Ability to drive change and identify improvement opportunities
