ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will oversee and head up the purchase ledger function of the company and will take part in helping the development and growth of the finance team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Process purchase invoices, including matching with orders and receipts, coding, and authorization.
- Resolve issues with suppliers, the Purchasing Department, and the Goods In Department.
- Ensure that suppliers and internal teams follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Meet monthly financial reporting deadlines.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 A-levels (or equivalent), with a minimum of 2 years up-to-date experience in Purchase Ledger on a computerised Manufacturing Resource Planning System
- Strong IT competence including Microsoft 365
- A basic knowledge of VAT
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in cost centre accounting
- Experience of Purchase Ledger in SAP
- Experience with an automated accounts payable system
- An interest in developments in the digitisation of financial processes
- Experience having worked in a continuous improvement environment
- Experience of having to meet KPIs
