Project Accountant

Primary Responsibilities:

• Client Billing (G702 Form): Accurately complete and submit client billing using the G702 form, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
• Purchase Order Management: Oversee the creation, tracking, and management of purchase orders, ensuring alignment with project budgets.
• COI Compliance: Ensure all Certificates of Insurance (COIs) are current and comply with project requirements, collecting renewals on time.
• PCO and RFA Review: Review and process Pending Change Orders (PCOs) and Requests for Approvals (RFAs), ensuring accurate data entry.
• Subcontractor Invoice Processing: Request and verify subcontractor invoices, ensuring correct system entry and linking to requisitions.
• Retainage Calculation and Scheduling: Accurately calculate retainage per contract terms and schedule releases in a timely manner.
• Monthly Pencil Requisition Management: Update and issue the monthly Pencil Requisition, ensuring accuracy.
• Monthly Requisition Preparation: Prepare and submit monthly requisitions with attention to detail and timeliness.
• Subcontractor Payments: Ensure prompt payment to subcontractors upon receipt of client payments, following the progress payment schedule.
• Insurance Verification: Verify that all subcontractors meet insurance requirements.
• Progress Payment Adherence: Ensure subcontractor payments align with the progress payment schedule.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• SAGE 300 Experience
• Good communication skills
• Previous experience as a Project Accountant in the construction field
