About the Company
A local company which operates across multiple specialism is are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Officer to look after the Payroll Function at their HQ based in Newry.
About the Job
You will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties…
- Processing UK and ROI Monthly/Weekly Payrolls
- Statutory Payments – SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP etc
- Processing of all employee Payroll documents: Payslips, P45, P60 etc
- Creation and processing of Monthly/Weekly BACS files
- To process sick leave, calculating statutory sick pay
- To calculate, record and process statutory maternity/paternity leave entitlements
- To action monthly payroll account reconciliations as requested by Finance Department.
- To respond professionally (verbal and written) and in a timely manner to staff queries relating to Payroll.
- Any other duties as and when necessary.
Your skills & experience
- Previous Experience working in a busy Payroll Position (Essential)
- Good numeracy, maintaining a high level of accuracy, numerate/analytical – attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a busy environment within a team and on their own initiative
- The ability to meet strict deadlines
