The primary focus of this role is payroll administration and supporting the wider accounts team in preparing accounts for a number of companies within the group.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Full responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll for 1100 employees.
  • Responsible for ensuring that monthly and annual local tax payments and compliance requirements are met (Revenue Submissions and CSO reports)
  • Co-ordinate payments to benefits providers such as health insurers and administrators of such schemes, such as pension, VHI, and Bike to Work.
  • Provide weekly reports to the HR & Finance teams
  • Provide superior customer service by responding to and resolving employee payroll queries with efficiency and professionalism in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Posting of journal entries for both payroll and GL tasks
  • Posting of bank transactions
  • Reconciliations of Resident accounts
  • Work as part of the finance team, providing support as required.
  • Ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ensure that a high level of confidentiality is maintained at all time.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • An IPASS or an equivalent payroll or accounting qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-volume payroll/accounts environment
  • Excellent IT, administration and analytical skills as well as a high level of attention to detail
  •  Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and confidentiality are essential
  • Experience of Computerised Payroll System- Quantum an advantage
  • Understanding of Irish employment law and payroll-related tax matters
