Job Summary: As a Part Qualified Accountant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our clients with their financial needs. You will work closely with our senior accountants and management to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and the delivery of expert financial advice. This position is ideal for someone who is in the process of obtaining a professional accounting qualification and is eager to gain hands-on experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
  2. General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  3. Bookkeeping: Conduct day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, account reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable management.
  4. Tax Compliance: Assist in tax return preparation and support clients in compliance with tax regulations.
  5. Audit Assistance: Collaborate with senior accountants during audit processes and help prepare necessary documents and reports.
  6. Client Communication: Interact with clients to gather financial information, answer queries, and provide guidance.
  7. Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis and budgeting, providing insights to clients for informed decision-making.
  8. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on accounting regulations and ensure that clients are in compliance with relevant laws and standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  2. Progress toward a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
  3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
  8. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a similar accounting role or internship.
  2. Familiarity with industry-specific accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  3. Knowledge of financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
