Position: Part Qualified Accountant

Location: Bray, Ireland

Reporting to: Spanish Team Manager

Salary: €40,000 – €47,000

As an integral member of our dedicated accounting team, you will collaborate closely on interdepartmental projects, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Your insights and ideas will be valued as we work together to enhance our operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Month-End Excellence: Lead the month-end accounting process, adhering to US GAAP standards, for key Spanish business units. Proactively review balances before finalizing the accounting cycle to ensure all targets are met.
2. Payroll Proficiency: Manage the end-to-end payroll process, encompassing review, preparation, and posting of Payroll Journal entries. Ensure accurate completion and submission of various tax and reporting requirements, including VAT, Intrastat, Intra-community transactions, CIT accrual calculations, withholding tax, and social security contributions.
3. Strategic Insight: Play a critical role in strategic financial planning by participating in budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities. Your analytical skills will contribute to informed decision-making within the finance team.
4. Collaborative Engagement: Thrive in a matrix environment with daily interactions across a diverse multidisciplinary team. Your ownership and proactive approach will be instrumental in fostering effective collaboration and driving results.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A credible finance professional with extensive experience in diverse accounting functions.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP standards and their application.
• Proficiency in managing complex payroll processes and associated tax compliance.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven track record of thriving in a collaborative, matrixed team environment.
• University Degree.
• Part or recently qualified accountant with proven technical ability-ACCA, CIMA, CAI, and IT
• English proficient and Spanish advanced level.
