About the Role

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the firm, supporting both staff and management to deliver exceptional service. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring strong leadership, organisational ability, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the firm’s daily operations, ensuring processes run efficiently and in compliance with standards
  • Oversee billing, timesheet reporting, and financial performance monitoring
  • Work with department heads to allocate resources effectively and track project deadlines
  • Lead, coach, and support teams to maintain high performance and professional growth
  • Develop and enhance internal systems, processes, and use of technology
  • Provide financial oversight, including budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis
  • Act as a main contact point for clients on operational matters
  • Collaborate with senior management on business planning and development projects

Your Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in an Operations Manager or similar role within accountancy, legal, or professional services
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage people and processes effectively
  • Commercially astute with experience in budgets, reporting, and financial analysis
  • Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable to change
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across all levels
