About the Job
- Maintain purchase ledger on SAGE
- Maintain sales ledger on SAGE
- Maintain nominal ledger on SAGE
- Petty cash management and reconciliation
- Manage company credit card statements (including collection of VAT receipts)
- Process employee time sheets and payroll-related information dealing with expense payments
- Taking responsibility for all aspects of credit control and chasing outstanding debt from customers
- Liaising with customers/insurance companies to resolve invoicing queries
- Address supplier queries and seek resolution of same in a timely manner
- Assisting with VAT returns every quarter
- Prepare financial reports as required by management
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including maths and English Grades A*-C
- Minimum of 3 years experience working within finance/accountancy-related positions in an office environment
- Sound working knowledge of XERO Accounts
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (including Excel)
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Work well as part of a team
- Strong IT skills
