Management Accountant – up to £55,000 – Newry

About the company 

An established and respected business in the County Down area is seeking to add a Management Accountant to this newly created position as a result of continued success. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a well-rounded role, offering a market-leading salary and great benefits package as well as great career progression within the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations to year-end standard and within reporting deadlines;
• Preparation of KPI reports on a weekly and monthly basis;
• Develop and recommend + implement process improvements
• Assist with the preparation of monthly projections;
• Financial Accounting –  journal entries, Profit and Loss Account reconciliations, financial analysis and Audit Preparation
• Assist in the development & implementation of Management Information Systems and financial IT systems;
• Business Partnering

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant – (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
• Must be IT proficient and competent in use of Excel Spreadsheets
• Able to demonstrate knowledge & understanding of financial systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical, organisation and planning skills with ability to prioritise effectively
