The Management Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for:

Monthly Management Accounts:

  • Create detailed monthly management accounts by meticulously gathering and analyzing financial data.
  • Compile comprehensive management accounts packs tailored for assessment by Senior Management and the Finance Committee. This includes crafting detailed reports, highlighting key financial insights, and providing strategic recommendations based on the findings.

Budget Development and Forecasting:

  • Spearhead the formulation of departmental budgets that encompass various facets such as income & expenditure accounts, capital projects, and cash flow requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to construct robust and realistic forecasts, leveraging historical data, market trends, and internal insights to facilitate informed decision-making and resource allocation.

Costing and Financial Data Generation:

  • Develop intricate costing schedules, meticulously outlining the financial breakdown of projects, services, or products.
  • Generate comprehensive financial data sets specifically tailored for integration into tender documents. This involves presenting detailed financial information, cost analysis, and projections, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications.

What’s required:

  • Possession of a full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Demonstrated track record in budgetary procedures and costing for new business.
  • Technical proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
  • Proficient Excel skills and familiarity with various accounting systems.
