As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate financial information, analysis, and support to the management team. You will be responsible for overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control measures within the organisation. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide accurate and timely information to the management team
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor performance indicators
• Working alongside the operations team
• Monitor and control costs, highlighting areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement
• Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and support strategic planning initiatives
• Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for budget deviations
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
• Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and processes

Requirements:

• Professional accounting qualification desired but happy to consider qualified by experience
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role within a manufacturing firm
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting
• Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
