HireIQ are delighted to be working exclusively on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join a busy finance team in a well known manufacturing company, working closely with the Senior Management Team.
The role will be for approximately 12 months. The Financial Controller oversees all Finance aspects within the business and will have a strong understanding of the operational and financial performance of the business partnering with the leadership team to identify and drive improvements.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts
Financial Analysis
Budgeting and forecasting
Treasury management
Cost analysis
KPI reporting
Ensuring compliance with appropriate regulatory bodies
Preparation and submission of grant applications, where applicable
Management of time and attendance / salary information to ensure accurate administration of outsourced payroll
Implementation of continuous improvements across the finance function
Implementation of financial controls
Liaising with company auditors
Negotiating appropriate insurances to ensure adequate cover
Overseeing and reviewing work of Finance Assistant, setting deadlines and objectives for completion of key tasks
Other ad-hoc duties as required by the Managing Director
Skills and Experience
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment
Proven ability to manage and communicate effectively with all levels within the business
Good organisational, planning and time management skills
Team player with positive attitude
Strong IT skills
