As a result, they are now seeking an experienced accountant to take up the role of Head of Finance, overseeing an established transactional finance team and reporting to the Managing Director.

About the job
Duties to include:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the finance function
- Manage and develop the transactional finance team
- Preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts, budgets/forecasts and ad-hoc financial reporting as required
- Cashflow management
- Continuous improvement of systems and processes across the finance function
- Implementation and monitoring of financial controls
- Act as the key point of contact with external stakeholders
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by the Managing Director
Your skills and experience
Essential
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in a similar role
- Experience in successfully managing a team
- Proven ability to manage and communicate effectively with all levels within the business
- Solid organisational, planning and time management skills
- Team player with a ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude.
- Strong IT skills including Sage and Excel
