Responsibilities:

  1. Budget Oversight: Manage and oversee the operational expense budget process, conducting regular reviews, and ensuring accurate implementation.
  2. Invoice and Expense Management: Lead the review, approval, and allocation of operating invoices and expenses, ensuring timely payment instructions.
  3. Month-End Accounting Review: Review month-end accounting records from internal companies for accuracy, including management fees and expense accruals.
  4. Control and Procedure Documentation: Maintain control and procedure documentation, continuously seeking opportunities for enhancement.
  5. Expense Management: Ensure the accurate update of expense-related information on internal databases and regulatory documentation.
  6. Project Assistance: Assist Senior Management with firm-wide Commercial Finance and Business Partnering projects as needed.
  7. Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and manage the submission of VAT, monthly VIES returns, and CSO returns. Oversee the preparation of regulatory returns, including compliance reports, Central Bank, and CSO returns.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant: Hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Financial Services Experience: Possess professional experience in a financial services entity, performing Finance and/or Accounting oversight functions.
  • Financial Expertise: Be familiar with Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards, with experience in VAT Returns, Bookkeeping, Invoice and Expense processing.
  • Team Player: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to efficiently manage various areas of responsibility and prioritize tasks.
