A leader in their specialised field, a modern and rapidly expanding company in the automobile industry are seeking to add a Graduate Accounting Technician to the team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance graduate or accounting technician who to fast track their career with the successful candidate being trained from the ground up in all aspects of accounting and will be given the necessary support to gain their CIMA/ACCA qualifications as soon as possible.
About the Job
Working directly as an understudy to the financial controller the successful candidate will be trained in all aspects from the ground up. The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 9am – 5.30pm and 9am – 4pm on Friday’s.
Key responsibilities
- Posting daily Bank receipts & payments
- Generate DD list for bank & distribute remittances to Customers
- Input of Used vehicle invoices, transfer of V5s and terminations
- Checking and posting funder reports
- Generation of End of Term invoices
- Manage the use of Company Credit card
- Maintain key customer ledgers
- Ensure daily invoicing processes has been completed
- Complete Month end process (to include rental journals and invoices)
- Assist with Generation of Monthly Board Pack
Previous experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Mathematical skills and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
