Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Manager of General Accounting assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the General Accounting Department. This role entails ensuring the timely completion of financial reporting to regulatory bodies and overseeing various analysis projects pertaining to expenses, fees, and cost centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise general accounting functions such as accounts payable, electronic voucher accounting, invoice accounting, NSF accounting, and ZBA accounting.
• Prepare various financial schedules and exhibits for internal and external financial statements filing.
• Manage federal and state income tax withholding payments and returns.
• Reconcile and balance bank accounts, including analyzing bank account statements and liaising with bank representatives.
• Review invoice coding and accounting, authorize expenses within defined limits, and input electronic vouchers.
• Provide confidential support to the Chief Financial Officer and handle administrative tasks.
• Manage accounts payable and general ledger systems.
• Coordinate corporate credit card charges and reconcile statements.
• Oversee miscellaneous wire transfers and ACH transactions.
• Handle quarterly and annual regulatory filings and surveys, including updating computer files for the Guaranty Association.
• Assist in cost reporting and coordinate record storage.
• Liaise with tax auditors for income tax extensions and returns, and assist in annual audit coordination and payroll reconciliation.
• Supervise the preparation of year-end tax forms.

Qualifications:

• CPA qualification
• Strong background in accounting and finance
• Proficiency in Excel
• Excellent communication skills
