The Company:

A leading retail and commercial insurance broker in with 30 + locations around Ireland. We are currently going through a significant growth phase through M&A activity in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

– Production of financial MI and analysis as part of routine Finance closing processes.

– Develop and maintain result tracking models to compare actuals to plan and to monitor KPIs against plan and forecast.

– Analysis and prepare financial result information presentable to the group and provide analysis to support variances to plan and forecast.  Work closely with the wider finance team to ensure that differences in the basis of production and phasing differences between plans and actual financial data are understood and explained.

– Play a key role in supporting the M&A activity during this hyper-growth phase

– Play a key role in building out reporting capabilities while working closely with Financial Accounting & Reporting colleagues to improve information shared with the wider business.

Your Experience

– Highly analytical with excellent spreadsheet skills.

– Qualified accountant with a number of years post-qualification experience (preferably in the insurance market)

– Preferably proficient with the use of Power BI

– Experience in analysing financial information relating to plans and forecasts and preparation of relevant commentary.

– Ideally, the candidate will have strong core MI reporting and financial analysis experience in an insurance environment.
