About the potential next-step

The primary focus of this role is to support decision-making through a wide range of planning and analytical initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a collaborative relationship with key underwriting and finance leaders, serving as a valuable business partner in the FP&A function.
  • Contribute to both strategic and detailed planning cycles.
  • Continuously forecast based on business drivers and trends.
  • Conduct regular reviews of financial results in comparison to expectations, identifying significant trends and analyzing variances.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly commentary and presentations.
  • Provide support to key underwriting and finance leaders as a business partner within the organization.
  • Contribute to the ongoing production of global management information (MI) reports.
  • Offer project support as needed, including modelling for strategic initiatives, developing customized slide decks for management meetings, and composing and delivering reports.
  • Actively participate in enhancing the FP&A function, leveraging IBM Planning Analytics to enhance the availability of information.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar FP&A role or a strong background in analytical work.
  • Possession of a professional accounting qualification is desirable.
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry is preferable.
  • Ability to thrive in a complex environment with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience with planning software and/or Power BI is advantageous.
