About the potential next-step

As the successful candidate, you will work under the guidance of the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, taking on a crucial role in managing group controlling and management reporting responsibilities. The Finance Analyst will serve as a reliable interface between the FP&A and Accounting functions and will act as a business partner for Operations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting in-depth analysis of business performance, collaborating with the FP&A manager to communicate the implications of the numbers and recommend actions.
  • Providing critical business insight into material cost development, identifying product, supplier, and pricing trends that drive financial performance, monitoring and highlighting the interdependencies between business decisions and profitability evolution (including simulation and scenario planning).
  • Supporting the periodical inventory valuation process and coordinating counter-measures with Operations to reduce inventory obsolescence.
  • Supporting quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting, ensuring the quality of all financial and non-financial inputs.
  • Working as a finance business partner with assigned departments to budget, forecast, and monitor expenditures.
  • Supporting the analysis and commentary of financial results and company performance, variance analysis, and preparation of periodical business review presentations.

Qualifications:

  • A qualified Controller/Finance Analyst with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance and/or controlling, or a degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of controlling experience.
  • SAP experience (MM/FI/CO).
  • Experience with SaaS based financial planning/reporting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.

  • Financial and analytical acumen with the ability to interrogate large data sets and come to sound, logical recommendations and conclusions.
  • Planning and organization skills, ability to plan and prioritize work schedules and work within agreed timescales.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment with ad-hoc, project-based activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different finance teams, particularly the reporting and financial business partnering teams.
  • Social competence to facilitate the development and maintenance of effective working relationships with all finance and business customers.
  • Storytelling and communication skills and comfortable working cross-functionally throughout the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, be flexible and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Ability and willingness to take responsibility for results and recommend solutions to challenges.
  • Ability to think creatively and be resourceful within the context of financial planning.
  • Practical knowledge of electronics and manufacturing processes is a plus.

Work Requirements:

  • Some travel and fieldwork, potentially including international travel.
