HIREIQ are working exclusively with this rapidly growing tech firm in Belfast to appoint a Financial Controller who will work alongside the current CFO. This is an award winning business within the tech space with offices spanning across the globe. About the job
You will partner with the CFO and Senior Leadership to help establish controls, improve operational efficiency, and support double-digit growth of a multi-national, multi-entity organisation.
- Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards.
- Address and coordinate responses to financial information requests from internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, tax authorities, auditors, lenders and investors.
- Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and capital expenditures.
- Identify and establish financial and operating benchmarks, programme monitoring, and reporting standards on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programmes.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximise the safeguard of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow
- Oversee and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership.
Your skills and background
The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a senior accountant, the ability to effectively manage a geographically dispersed team, and prioritize process improvement.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
- Strong understanding of commercial terms and banking processes
- Working knowledge of acquisition and purchase accounting
- Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards
