About the company:

This is a well-established, high-performing business based just outside Newry, with ambitious plans and continued investment across the group.

It’s an excellent time to join. The company is scaling, and this role offers a genuine opportunity to shape and develop the finance function as the business grows. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, bringing structure, insight and commercial support, while building out and leading a high-performing finance team.

This is ideally suited to a Senior Accountant ready to step into a broader leadership role, take ownership and make a real impact in a fast-moving environment.

About the job:

  • Preparation and presentation of accurate monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and board-ready reporting packs
  • Full ownership of the annual budgeting and reforecasting process, partnering with operational leads to drive accountability and performance
  • Proactive cashflow management, including forecasting, working capital oversight and liquidity planning
  • Oversight and sign-off of end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely submission
  • Leadership, mentoring and development of the finance team, setting clear objectives and driving a high-performance culture
  • Ensuring full compliance with all statutory and tax obligations, including PAYE, RCT and VAT across multiple jurisdictions, with responsibility for timely filings and audit readiness
  • Continuous improvement of finance processes and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy and reporting insight

About you: 

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • QBE with highly relevant experience considered
  • Proven experience managing and developing finance staff
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and organisational skills
