Financial Controller – Belfast

HIREIQ Finance Recruitment are working with this start up company in the recruitment of a Financial Controller. The successful candidate will oversee multiple entities within the group and take ownership of the internal control function. This company has seen major growth over the last few years and continue to expand upon their presence in the UK & ROI.

About the Opportunity
As the Financial Controller for this organisation you will report directly into the Managing Director working alongside them to provide commercial insight to impact on key business decisions.

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts, including KPI reporting and commentary to explain key trends, for review.
• Month on month and against expectation analysis of income from mobile networks, in conjunction with the commercial team, on a monthly basis and submission of claims for any errors and/or omissions.
• Management and post of month end accruals deferred income, prepayments and accrued income.
• Assisting as required with more ad-hoc projects in support of the growth ambitions of the Telecoms Group such as system integration, accounting policy alignment and process centralization and/or automation.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in managing a team and financial reporting.
• Good leadership and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Competency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to be pro-active, intuitive, and independent, but equally able to ask for help when necessary.
