The Role
- Conduct a thorough analysis of manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Implement cost control measures to optimise operational efficiency and reduce expenses without compromising quality.
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and processes to accurately track and report on cost variances.
- Monitor and analyse product margins to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on margin enhancement initiatives.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning activities.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts based on market trends, operational performance, and business objectives.
- Evaluate financial risks and opportunities and make recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Analyse financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Present financial information to senior management and provide strategic insights to support decision-making.
- Work closely with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings or recommendations.

- Qualified accountant 5 years PQE
- Manufacturing experience is essential.
