About the company: 

This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially focused Financial Controller to join this close-knit finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, our client requires an experienced Senior Finance Professional to manage the day-to-day of their finance function, playing a hands-on role within the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the accounting team, ensuring all financial activities are performed accurately and timely.
  • Oversee the preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts including analysis of accounts, journal postings, balance sheet reconciliation reviews and other month-end processing and reporting to Group.
  • Manage the budgeting process, ensuring budgets are developed and managed effectively.
  • Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to senior management to improve financial performance.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize the company’s financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Payroll & HR to ensure financial information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • ERP System management

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or other relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Experience in financial management and budget/forecasting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
