About the company:
HireIQ is delighted to be working with another local success story global company in the County Down area. This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially focused Financial Controller to join their close-knit finance team. Reporting to the FD, our client requires an experienced Senior Finance Professional to manage the day-to-day of their finance function, playing a hands-on role within the business.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the accounting team, ensuring all financial activities are performed accurately and timely.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements and reports for senior management.
- Manage the budgeting process, ensuring budgets are developed and managed effectively.
- Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to senior management to improve financial performance.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize the company’s financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Participate in strategic planning, including mergers and acquisitions, and contribute to the company’s overall growth.
Requirements:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or other relevant professional certification preferred.
- Experience in financial management
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
