Headquartered in Belfast, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to play a key role in shaping their financial strategies and ensuring continued success.

Responsibilities  

  • Compile a monthly management accounts pack of exceptional quality, along with supporting schedules for both internal and Board reporting.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and engage with external auditors as needed.
  • Conduct cash flow forecasting.
  • Coordinate the monthly payroll process, oversee weekly payroll, and liaise with external payroll providers.
  • Manage payroll-related activities, including Pensions PIIDs, Life Assurance, and relevant returns.
  • Provide support and direction for credit control activities.
  • Review monthly overheads with key budget holders.
  • Reconcile key control accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
  • Continuously assess the status and opportunities for improving internal control effectiveness within the business.
  • Lead and manage process improvement projects in the Finance department, adding significant value.
  • Collaborate with other functions to identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and contribute to the talent development of the team.

Additional Requirements

  • Hold a qualification as a Chartered Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA) or equivalent, with a minimum of 3-5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Possess essential experience in fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage a high volume of work, showcasing excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in data analysis and presentation of clear findings.
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical skills, knowledgeable in financial software, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills, including experience in people management.
