Finance Manager Role in a well established Manufacturing company!

About the client 

HireIQ are delighted to be working with a leading local manufacturing company that are based in County Down. This role will report directly to the Managing Director and manage both the commercial and accounting aspects of the business and contribute to the overall achievement of the company.

About the role
This role will be all encompassing and include:

  • Supervise the accounts and administration functions.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a product costing system which accurately reflects profitability by product.
  • Build effective relationships with key personnel
  • Produce daily/weekly/monthly reports for the operations team to monitor KPI’s.
  • Analyse and explain gross margin variances
  • Assume responsibility for stock checks.
  • Provide accurate analysis of stock movements
  • Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.
  • Support the annual budget and forecasting programme.
  • Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the Managing Director.

Your skills and experience 

  • Qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA, ICA, CA, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience
  • Experience in cost accounting/product costing within a manufacturing environment.
  • Management level experience in a commercial or financial capacity
  • Experience with ERP business management software
  • Experience with financial management and reporting systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Good planning, organisational and time management abilities
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient in the use of word processing, database and presentation software
