About the company
A long-established organisation based in the Northwest are seeking a Finance Manager to join their team. This role will take full oversight of the finance function, leading a small team and reporting to Senior Management. An excellent opportunity for an ambitious and well-rounded accountant who is keen to progress their career with an organisation who plays a vital part in the local community. Ideally suited to Qualified Accountants, although Qualified by Experience candidates who have demonstrated experience in a similar role may be considered.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing a small team of finance staff
- Preparation of monthly and year-end accounts
- Overseeing AP/AR and payroll
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Cashflow management
- Tax compliance
- Driving continuous improvement across the finance function
- Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in a similar role
- Ability to lead and develop finance personnel
- Excellent IT skills (Sage and MS Excel)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
