About the company 

Reporting to the Financial Controller and Finance Director, this is a well-rounded role offering a market-leading salary and is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to join an established finance team or for an ambitious accountant to step up into a senior position with a forward-thinking company.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual accounts, including accruals, prepayments, journal entries, and month-end reconciliations.
• Consolidate financial reports from various departments and group entities.
• Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and KPIs, providing insights
• Ensure compliance by preparing and submitting VAT and RCT returns.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Lead year-end audits, liaising with auditors
• Develop and implement financial reporting policies and controls to drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Mentor and support junior finance team members in their development.
• Carry out additional duties as required.

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant – (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA) f
• Must be IT proficient and competent in the use of Excel Spreadsheets, ERPs
• Able to demonstrate knowledge & understanding of financial systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical, organisation and planning skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
