About the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the finance team, preparing monthly management accounts for two entities and working closely with the senior management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analytical processes
- Identifying and proactively highlighting risks working to mitigate issues helping create choices and providing decision support.
- Experience in producing monthly management accounts, and making the necessary accounting adjustments.
- Experience in processing payroll with a working knowledge of PAYE, pensions and statutory payments.
- Experience in preparing and reconciling VAT returns.
- Experience of using Sage Line
- Cash flow management, to ensure adequate working capital is available
- Management of financial processes, recommending and implementing improvements
- Management of staff, providing support and mentorship
Previous experience
- Qualified Accounting Technician or part-qualified accountant or a minimum of 5 years’ experience will be accepted in lieu of a qualification
- Experience in producing monthly management accounts, and making the necessary accounting adjustments.
