Finance Manager

JOB DUTIES:

• Facilitating communication between Finance and Operations, exerting influence on daily decisions, and shaping business strategy, and direction.
• Demonstrating commercial awareness by anticipating the needs of both operations and management.
• Driving continuous improvement in the assembly unit through effective financial management and communication of key performance results.
• Interpreting data, assessing its value, and presenting findings concisely to relevant stakeholders.
• Formulating and standing behind recommendations, possessing a well-developed sense of ethics, and being prepared to uphold these principles.
• Challenging, coaching, and motivating while identifying and gaining support from key stakeholders to achieve Divisional objectives.
• Leading a multi-site Finance team by continuously appraising, providing feedback, and fostering development.
• Acting as a key liaison with the UK shared service, offering ongoing feedback to ensure added value to the business.
• Ensuring ongoing compliance with all relevant Sandvik policies and reporting timescales, organizing resources for timely and accurate completion of internal and external reporting.
• Collaborating with the Compliance function to maintain and enhance internal controls for asset safeguarding and reliability of financial information.

DEMONSTRATED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven track record in successfully managing performance and continuously improving teams, contributing positively to peers’ development.
• Degree-educated with an accounting qualification, preferably CIMA; ACCA or ACA qualifications are considered for candidates with a strong match in experience for the role.
• At least five years of post-qualified experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment, effective use of ERP systems, and highly commercial and influential with demonstrated business partnering and leadership skills.

DESIRABLE:

• Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment.
