About the Job
Reporting to the company accountant this candidate will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties…
- Processing of invoices, credit notes and receipts in the accounting system.
- Posting purchases and payments in the accounting system.
- Checking the bank accounts daily and making necessary ledger entries on the accounting system.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory reports (VAT, EC Sales, Intrastat) and business surveys.
- Credit card and petty cash transaction postings and reconciliations
- Month-end bank account and key balance sheet reconciliations.
Your skills & experience
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English Grades A*-C
- Excellent attention to detail and a high numerical understanding
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Team player
- Proficient with MS Office suite – advanced skills with MS Excel
- Excellent organisational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Navision and Sage Payroll would be advantageous
