Finance Analyst – Belfast City Centre – Up to £45,000 + Bonus

HireIQ is delighted to be partnering with one of the world’s largest manufacturing companies as they recruit for a Finance Analyst. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant working with the Finance Leadership teams on controlling and financial planning activities.

About the job.

• Perform period-end activities to ensure proper classification and validity of financials, including manual journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare management reporting for relevant process speciality. Ensure standardisation of processes and reports across sites and business units.
• Ensure data accuracy in the general ledger and sub-ledgers by performing various controls, including reconciliations between ledgers.
• Own the procedures and methodology of relevant process speciality. Ensure calculations and methodologies are standardised across sites and definitions are comparable.
• Provide preliminary comments regarding actuals and identify variances against budget and forecast.
• Ensure appropriate accounting treatment of activities and transactions.
• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate historical data, ensuring standardisation of templates across sites and business units, and monitoring and evaluating business performance against targets.
• Analyse financial reporting and flow down to operational teams to explain performance and understand key drivers.
• Participate in operational meetings and day-to-day site management in order to help quickly identify risks and opportunities and drive financial performance.
• Support process improvement, process optimisation and special projects.
• Actively contribute to knowledge sharing.

Your skills and experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or International equivalent)
